A Clinical Study on the Effect of Anti_Hyperosteogeny Analgesic Plaster on Osteoarthritis

abstract:Seventy_five cases of osteoarthritis were allocat ed to two groups:Group Ⅰ(50,treated with anti_hyperosteogeny analgesic plaster) and Group Ⅱ(25,tre a ted with Guyouling lotion).The results showed that the markedly effective rate w as 18%,the effective rate was 66% and the total effective rate was 84%.In Group Ⅰ,the differences being not significant as compared with Group Ⅱ.This indicat es the effect of anti_hyperosteogeny analgesic plaster on osteoarthritis is simi lar to Guyouling lotion and no obvious toxic and side effects w as exerted.

A Clinical Observation of Yufeng Ningxin Granul e for Angina Pectoris

abstract:The effects of Yufeng Ningxin Granule(YNG)in treating 105 cases of angina pectoris(AP)were reported.Another group of 1 05 patients treated with Yufeng Ningxin tablet(YNT)served as control.The results showed that the total effective rate in the YNG group(89.5%)was higher than that in the contro l g roup(79.0%),the difference being significant(P<0.05).The effective rates on ECG in the two groups were 57.9% and 46.3% r espectively(P>0.05).The symptoms of chest d istress,c hest pain,palpitation and dizziness caused by AP in the YNG gro up were markedly improved as compared with those in the YNT group(P<0.05~0. 01).It is revealed that YNG can decrease blood pressure, regulate blood_lipid metabolism and improve blood viscosity.

Effects of Huoxin Wan on Isolated Myocardium of Guinea Pig

and Hemodynamics of Anesthetized Dog in Vivo

abstract:The effects of Chinese patent medicine,Huox in Wan,on isolated myocardiu m of guinea pig and hemodynamics of anesthetized dog in vivo were studied.It was shown that Huoxin Wan imprved both systolic and diastolic func tion of isolated papilary muscle(Tmax,+dp/dtmax,-dp/dtmax)were enhanced,the contractility of the isolated right atrium was increased but spontaneous rhythm unaffected,and the excitability threshold of the isolated left ventricle was dec reased. It was also shown that Huoxin Wan can increase the myoc ardial contractility and excitability directly.As to the hemodynamics,LVPmax was increas ed,+dp/dtmax accelerated,CO increased and LVEDP decreased,indicating that Huoxin Wan can enhance the pump function of the heart,decreased heart rate and myocardial oxygen consumption,and enhance the diastolic function.

Effect of Nao Yi Qing Capsule on Memory i n Aged Mice and Dementia Mimetic Rats

abstract:The effect and mechanism of Nao Yi Qing Capsule(NYQ)on memory in aged mouse and dementia mimetic ra t model which was set up with aluminum chloride solution were studied.The result s showed that the M_cholinergic receptor was lowerd in the aged mice(P[ WT5BZ〗<0.01)and the activity of acetylcholinesterase(AchE)was inc reas ed in the cerebral cortex of dementia mimetic rats(P<0.0 1)as compared with the healthy young animals.NYQ could m arkedly reduce the AchE activity and elevate the M_cholinergic receptor( P<0.05~0.01)in the cerebral cortex,and improve their mem ory.These results suggest that NYQ is effective in preventing t he retrogression of cerebral function and beneficial for the treatment of senile dementia.

An Experimental Study on Short_term Nephrotoxicity of Da nggui Sini Decoction

abstract:The short_term nephrotoxicity of Danggui Sini [ WT5BZ〗Decoction added with Wuzhuyu shengjiang(DSDWS)and Cau lis Aristolochiae Manshuriensis(CAM)in mice was investigated.Dosages of 30 g/kg and 9g/kg were fed by gastric tube daily for 7 days.Body weight,hemoglo bin,renal functions and histomorphology of mice were observed.After 7 days,body weight,proteinuria and renal histomorphology were abnormal in both DSDWS and CAM groups,and the differeneces were significant as compared with control group(P<0.05).The above results indicate that the nephrotoxicity of DSDWS and CAM is similar.

Effects of Qiongyu Gao on Nervous System of Agi ng Mice

abstract:Effects of Qiongyu Gao(QG)on nervous system of aging mice were observed at cellular and molecular levels.The results showed that QG had a good regulatory effect on the learning an d memory ability of the aging mice,increased the antioxidation of hypothalamus,r educed the pathologic damages induced by peroxidation,lessened the decrease of m onoamine neural transmitter in the brain and relieved the disturbance of neural transmitter metabolism.It is indicated that QG acts on the nerv ous system at various levels and can delay the aging process and relieve the agi ng symptoms.
