Effects of recombinant human growth hormone combined with relative longterm parenteral nutrition in G-I patients

Abstract：Objective Growth Hormone(GH) improves anabolism and cell proliferation. The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of recombinant human growth hormone(rHGH) combined with long team parenteral nutrition (PN) on nitrogen economy. Methods 16 patients were enrolled. Affter receiving solely PN (30 Kcal·kg-·d-) for 2 weeks, patients were treated by rHGH (8～12IU/d) with PN for 2 weeks. Resalts Showed the weight of patients increased after treatment of PN combined with rHGH, urine nitrogen significiantly decreased after combining rHGH 3 days. Conclusions These data had suggest that treatment of PN combine with rHGH results a increased patienb body weight and decreased urine nitragon.
