The effection of enteral nutrition through nasogastrojejunal tube on severe acute pancreatitis

Abstract:Objective To study and evaluate therapeutic response of enteral nutrition through nasogastrojejunal tube in course of the regional arterial infusion(RAI) for the treatment of patients with severe acute panereatitis (SAP). Methods Of total 62 patients,therapeutic response of 27 eases treated with naso-gastrojejunal tube enteral nutrition has been compared with that of 35 cases treated with total parenteral nutrition(TPN) in the organic functions、status of alimentation and the risk of complications. Results The curative effect of nasogastrojejunal tube enteral nutrition is the same as that of TPN in improving nutritional status of patients, and better than TPN in the recovery of hepatic、gastroenteral function and in reducing the risk of the complication. Conclusions Only if carried out, rationally nasogastrojejunal tube early enteral nutrition is safe and effective, it Could improve the the nutritional status and immune function and reduce the risk of complications.
