The Measurement of Mast Cell and Its Active Material in Skin of Normal Rat

AbstractTwenty Wistar rats were used to obtain the quantitative data of mast cells and its activity materiae in the normal rat skin. The samples were taken from the back of rats on two sides. The tissue slices were stained by thionin and alcian blue. the histological methods was used, and the morphological characteristics of the mast cells in the skin of the normal rats back were observed. Mast cells in the papillary layer, in the reticular layer and in the hypodermis of rat skin were observed. It is shown that not only the mast cells mainly olcated in the hypodermis but also the content of heparin is much more than histamine in mast cells.
