Abstract:To investigate the distribution of cytoskeletal components in rabbit, the lung of normal female adult white rabbits were fixed well in 4% 40 paraformaldehyde and paraffin section were prepared accoridng to routine methods. Anticytokeratin-7, -8, -18, -19, antiactin, antivimentin and anti-alpha-tubulin monochlonae antibodies, were employed with immunohistochemical ABC methed. Resalts: The clara ceils in terminal and respiratory bronchioles were immunopositive for cytokeratin-7, vimentin and alpha-tubulin. The type Ⅰ and type Ⅱ pulmonary alveolar cells show positive reactivity for cytokeratin-7 and alpha-tubulin. The alveolar macrophage shows cytokeratin-7, vimentinand alpha-tubulin positive. The smooth muscle cells in small bronchus, terminal and respiratory bronchioles and alveolar duct show actin positive. Significance of expression of these cytoskeletal proteins in lung was discussed.
