Studies on the Influence of the Concentration of CaCl2 Solution on the Determination of Heparin Sodium Potency with Sheep Blood Plasma

Abstract：Purpose: To study the influence of the concentration of CaCl2 solution on the determination of heparin sodium potency with sheep blood plasma. Methods: To refer to the method stipulated by USP with 0.50％ CaCl2 solution instead of 0.25％ CaCl2 solution. Results: The result was consistent with 0.50％ CaCl2 solution as well as 0.25％ CaCl2 solution. Conclusion: 0.50％ CaCl2 solution can substitute for 0.25％ CaCl2 solution and has the superiority of reducing the volume of 0.50 clotting.
