ABSTRACT The purpose of the shtudies was to explore the therapeutic mechanism of Fucong Tablet on the presbycusis.The nerve fibers in habenula perforta and spiral ganglion of aged rats were obsered.The results indicated that Fucong Tablet could effectively support the neural elements.It suggested that the damages of neural elements in cochleae should be the major reason for presbycusis.The maintenance of the neural elements should be related with the effects of Fucong Tablet as flowing:1)Promoting the nerve growth factor (NGF) to combine with its receptor.2)Protecting hair cells to produce indirectly neuraltrophin.

ABSTRACT The killing action of normal person periphery blood monucler cell(PBMC)to Raji cell(EBV-transformed,EBV genome positive cell lines),the blocking action of EBV-antibody to the killing action of PBMC and the elimination of the Yiqijiedu Tablet were assayed with MTT.The results showed that Yiqijiedu Tablet could kill the Raji cell and eliminate the blocking action of EBV-antibody.This probably was the mechanism of Yiqijiedu Tablet in preventing the persons in high tisk status from nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ABOUT THE INFLUENCE OF
GALLBLADDER-WARMING DECOCTION ON
BODILY BEHAVIOR OF MICE

ABSTRACT The mechanism of Gallbladder-warming Decoction in the treatment of psychoneurosis was studied and the bodily behavior of mice,including autonomous behavior,climbing behavior and head raising,was observed.Results:Compared with normal saline,both Gallbladder-warming Decoction and wintermin obviously reduced autonomous activity(P＜0.01),climbing activity induced by water morphine(P＜0.01)and head raising induced by L-dopa(P＜0.01).And the inhibiting action of Gallbladder-warming Decoction was weaker than that of wintermin(P＜0.01).It suggested that Gallbladder-warming Decoction was a choice in the treatment of psychoneurosis.

DECOCTION ON CEREBRAL CORTEX ULTRASTRUCTUER
OF SUBACUTE SENILE RATS

ABSTRACT The influence of supplemented gallbladder-warming decoction on cerebral cortex ultrastuctuer of subacute senile rats was observed and analised.The results showed that in model group,lipofuscin was increased(P＜0.05),mitochondriona was decreased(P＜0.05),the size of lipofuscin was irregular,mitochondrion was turgescent,nuclear membrane was broken and nucleolus was marginated.Supplemented gallbladder-warming decoction could slow the above changes.It suggested that supplemented gallbladder-warming decoction could delay the senility of brain and stabilize the system of nerve ecell biomembrane.

ANALYSIS ON THE LEVEL OF PLASMA NOREPINEPHRINE AND
EPINEPHRINE IN PATIENTS WITH THE DEFICIENCY OF

ABSTRACT The purpose of the study was to identify the pathophysiological basis of the deficiency of the liver qi(liver yang)syndrome.The levels of plasma norepinephrine (NE) and epinephrine (E) in 36 patients with the dificieney of liver qi (liver yang) syndrome were tested.The normal group and the wetness-heat of liver and gallbladder syndrome group were set as two control groups.The results showed that the levels of NE(1209.8±375.8Pmol/L)and E(532.6±211.9Pmol/L) in the patients with the deficiency of liver qi(liver yang) syndrome were obviously lower than that of the normal group(NE2236.9±1121.5Pmol/L,E957.3±477.7Pmol/L)and the wetness-heat of liver and gallbladder syndrome group(NE3282.8±1676.7Pmol/L,E1459.5±1058.9Pmol/L)P＜0.01.There was no significant difference among the levels of NE and E in different kinds of diseases belonging to the deficiency of liver qi(liver yang) syndrome(P＞0.05)。The functions of peripheral sympathetic never and adrenal medullae in the patients with deficiency of liver qi(liver yang) were degraded.

CLINICAL OBSERVATION OF GALACTIC ELEMENE INJECTION IN
TREATMENT OF 12 CASES OF LATE CANCER

ABSTRACT Compared with combined chemotherapy in the treatment of late cancer,galactic elemene injection was the better in improving living quality of patients without reducing WBC and Pt,and there was not side effect to liver and kidneys.However,the combined chemotherapy reduced the WBC and Pt,and damaged the functions of liver and kidneys in a few cases.It suggested that galactic elemene injection was better than combined chemotherapy in the treatment of late cancer.
